Kristen brings extensive leadership experience in event and facility operations, marketing, and community building. Most recently, she served as a Senior Marketer at Sports Basement, where she spearheaded large-scale regional event logistics, grand opening campaigns, and strategic brand partnerships across Southern California, experience that translates directly into building strong community connections.
Scouting has been a central part of Kristen’s life from an early age. Growing up around her Sea Scout father and his friends, she always dreamed of being a Scout herself. That lifelong connection grew into a deep family legacy: she is the proud parent of two Eagle Scouts, has spent years supporting youth development and troop operations, and takes tremendous pride in her work helping develop programming that welcomed girls into Scouting.
When she isn’t at the Sea Base, you can find Kristen camping, reading, working in her garden, or out on a road bike cruising through Long Beach!
Kristen is responsible for all happenings at the Sea Base. Her primary duties include community relations, logistics, asset management, fundraising, and safety. Kristen manages a team of part time staff as well as seasonal camp staff to achieve the mission of the Sea Base.
Hours: Full time Monday through Friday. Weekends as necessary.

Mary handles all reservations at the Sea Base. She is a friendly, welcoming face to assist you with whatever questions you might have. Mary brings a wealth of knowledge to our operations. Mary is also the contact for all Scout advancement items that need to be recorded in ScoutBook.
Hours: Part-time, usually all day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
